For moving

## Know what's in every box before you tape it shut.

Photograph the open box and the scan lists what's inside. On the other end, search for what you need and open the right box first.

- One photo catalogs a whole box
- Search by what you remember
- Works offline in the truck
- Photos and values for the movers' claim

Smart Scan · QR box labels · Offline · Smart Search · Shared inventory · Printable lists · Web, iPhone, iPad, and Android

Four stages of a move

### The same inventory, from the first box to the last.

You build the record while packing. Everything after that is reading it.

[01 Packing Photograph each box, label it, seal it.](https://www.totetracker.app/for/moving#packing) · [02 Moving day The list rides along, with or without signal.](https://www.totetracker.app/for/moving#moving-day) · [03 First night Search for what you need, open that box.](https://www.totetracker.app/for/moving#first-night) · [04 After the move Verify what arrived, file what didn't.](https://www.totetracker.app/for/moving#after-the-move)

01 · Packing

### Photograph the box, then seal it.

Open box, one photo. The scan drafts each item it can see with a name and an estimated value. You confirm the list, print a QR label, and tape the box shut. "Kitchen misc" becomes fourteen named items.

- Several items from one photo, nothing saved until you've looked it over
- Hands full? Tell Iris "add the winter coats to box 12" and keep packing
- QR labels print on plain sticker sheets and open the box's record when scanned

02 · Moving day

### The list rides along, with or without signal.

Moving trucks and storage units are dead zones. The inventory is on your phone, works offline, and syncs when you're back on Wi-Fi. Count boxes off the truck against the list instead of against memory.

- Works offline on every phone and in the browser
- Whoever's helping adds boxes to the same inventory from their own account
- Scan a box's QR label to see what's in it without cutting the tape

03 · First night

### Search for what you need. Open that box first.

Search "coffee stuff" and Smart Search turns up the maker, the mugs, and the filters, each with the box it's in, even if you never typed those words. The sheets, the chargers, and the kids' bedtime book are one search away.

- Search by description, not by box number
- Every result says which box, and which room the box is in
- Photo search: point at the matching mug to find where the rest are

04 · After the move

### Verify everything arrived.

Walk the boxes with the list open and mark each one checked. Anything missing or damaged already has a timestamped photo and an estimated value for the movers' claim. Then the same inventory becomes the record of your new home.

- Printable list with photos, values, and the date each item was added
- Export everything, receipts included, any time
- Keeps going after the move as your home inventory for insurance
